Representative - Sales and Trade Development

MTN is hiring a Representative - Sales and Trade Development to manage and develop trade infrastructure and drive brand dominance at retail across assigned territories in Lagos Island.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop trade infrastructure through distribution channels, particularly retailers
• Conduct 8–10 outlet visits per day, verifying stock receipt/movement and providing informal product training
• Manage events and promotions, generate promo specifications, and conduct post-promo evaluations
• Monitor network quality and sales-impacting indices; ensure product availability >95% at all times
• Identify, classify, and support all distribution channel players; maintain weekly/monthly database updates
• Provide weekly/monthly sales activity and market intelligence reports
• Increase brand visibility to 65% in the channel through signage and POS distribution
• Provide 100% merchandizing support to identified outlets
• Build and nurture relationships between authorized distributors, sub-dealers, and retailers
• Resolve issues related to activations, products, and promotions
• Gather market information and provide feedback to management

Requirements

Education:

• First Degree, preferably in Social Sciences
• Fluent in English

Experience:

• 1–3 years in a relevant area of specialization
• Experience working in a medium-sized organization
• Sales and Marketing experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment
