Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Lead, STRIDE Program
The Institute of Genomics and Global Health (IGH) is seeking an experienced MEL Lead to design and lead a robust MEL system that tracks progress, measures impact, and supports continuous learning across the STRIDE program. The role involves working closely with program leadership and partners to develop indicators, oversee data collection and analysis, and translate evidence into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing refinement of STRIDE’s MEL framework.
- Define results frameworks, indicators, data collection tools, and learning priorities.
- Oversee MEL data collection, quality assurance, analysis, and synthesis.
- Translate MEL findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Develop MEL reports, dashboards, and learning products.
- Strengthen MEL capacity across STRIDE through technical guidance and coaching.
- Serve as the primary MEL focal point for engagement with consortium partners and external evaluators.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Public Health, Epidemiology, Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience leading MEL for complex, multi-year, multi-partner programs.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing MEL systems.
- Experience managing MEL requirements for donor-funded programs.
- Technical experience applying quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Familiarity with African institutions, academic training programs, or research networks is an asset.
