Junior Accountant

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance team in Port Harcourt. This is a full-time position offering HMO, PAYE, and Pension benefits.

Responsibilities

• Process daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
• Prepare payment vouchers, journals, and ledger postings
• Reconcile bank statements and supplier/customer accounts
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts
• Monitor cash receipts, expenses, and petty cash activities
• Support statutory compliance, including tax documentation and regulatory filings
• Maintain proper filing of financial documents and accounting records
• Assist during internal and external audits
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Minimum of 1–3 years relevant accounting experience
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and Nigerian tax regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Odoo, SAP, or similar ERP systems)
• Strong analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional qualification (ICAN/ANAN) or active student membership
