Head Accountant

Wisdom Kwati Smart City is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and provide strategic financial guidance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax laws, and statutory regulations
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations
• Prepare and file statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, WHT, Company Income Tax)
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial risk management processes
• Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to management
• Supervise finance staff and ensure effective financial operations
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, auditors, banks, and other stakeholders

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
• Master's Degree or MBA (advantageous)

Professional Certifications:

• Mandatory: ICAN or ACCA
• Additional certifications in Finance, Taxation, Risk Management, or IFRS (advantageous)

Other Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
