Trainer: Driver

DP World is seeking an experienced Trainer to manage comprehensive training and development programs for articulated truck drivers, focusing on safe and efficient driving practices while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct instructional training sessions for articulated truck drivers on safe and efficient driving techniques, vehicle handling, and maneuvering
• Develop and design comprehensive training curriculum covering safety protocols, vehicle controls, traffic regulations, and load handling
• Train newly recruited drivers on articulated truck operation, vehicle controls, safety features, and company policies
• Conduct on-board and shadow monitoring of delivery officers' performance
• Offer periodic refresher courses to experienced drivers to reinforce safe driving practices and regulatory updates
• Assess drivers' performance through practical tests, evaluations, and feedback sessions
• Develop and update assessment materials for ongoing evaluation
• Provide mentorship and guidance to drivers on driving techniques, hazard management, and vehicle maintenance
• Ensure driver familiarity with technical aspects of articulated trucks, including maintenance schedules and emergency procedures
• Maintain accurate records of training activities, assessments, and driver progress; generate performance reports
• Collaborate with HSE unit to train drivers on DPW's health, safety, and security regulations
• Stay updated with industry best practices and incorporate relevant advancements into training programs
• Prepare drivers to handle emergency situations effectively

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience training articulated truck drivers
• Background in Transport and Logistics, Warehouse, Freight Forwarding, or Manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in training and development, instructional design, or related area
