Area Sales Manager (ASM)
We are seeking a results-driven Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth, market execution, and distributor performance across Sokoto, Zamfara, and Kebbi States in North-West Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- Deliver volume, revenue, and market share targets within the assigned territory
- Manage distributors and strengthen route-to-market execution
- Drive product availability, visibility, and distribution across all channels
- Lead and coach Sales Representatives to achieve commercial objectives
- Monitor competitor activities and identify growth opportunities
- Build strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail customers
- Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in FMCG sales, preferably in carbonated soft drinks (CSD) industry
- Strong knowledge of the North-West market, particularly Sokoto, Zamfara, and Kebbi States
- Must currently reside within the assigned territory
- Fluent in English and Hausa (bilingual preferred)
- Proven experience in distributor management, sales execution, and territory development
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively within territory
