Legal Officer
The Legal Officer is required to provide guidance and leadership at the Legal Division of the Polytechnic. They are expected to provide sound legal advice, represent the institution at litigation, and support the College Management and Governing Council on all legal, regulatory, and institutional matters.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and represent the institution in litigation
- Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and service regulations
- Advise management and council on legal implications of policies, contracts, agreements, and MOUs
- Liaise with external counsel and regulatory agencies
Requirements
- Minimum of an LL.B Degree from a recognized university, plus BL from the Nigerian Law School, and called to the Nigerian Bar
- Evidence of active practice with the Nigerian Bar Association and current practicing certificate
- At least 7 years of post-call experience
- Experience in tertiary institution administration, including academic, regulatory, and NBTE/NUC compliance matters
- Demonstrated experience in labor/employment matters, including staff discipline and industrial relations
Salary CONTEDISS 12.
