About the role

The Office Manager ensures the efficient running of the company’s administrative, human resources, facilities, financial, and inventory management functions. This multi-disciplinary role also serves as the primary liaison with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory bodies for compliance, tax, and statutory reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Human Resource Management: Maintain and update staff records, manage recruitment, onboarding, employee exit processes, ensure compliance with HR policies and labor laws, coordinate performance evaluations and training initiatives, mediate staff grievances.
  • Facilities Management: Oversee daily maintenance of office and factory premises, ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, manage vendor contracts for utilities, cleaning, repairs, and facility upgrades.
  • Administrative Duties: Oversee general administrative operations, maintain accurate company files, support executive staff with scheduling and internal coordination.
  • Bookkeeping & Financial Administration: Manage petty cash, staff expense claims, maintain receivables and payables, prepare financial data for internal use, liaise with external accountants, coordinate tax filings and compliance, serve as point of contact for auditors and regulatory agencies.
  • Stores and Inventory Management: Supervise receiving, issuing, and storage of raw materials, trims, consumables, and finished goods, maintain inventory records, conduct stock reconciliations and physical audits, liaise with procurement and production teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, HR, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in office, operations, or administrative management (preferably in a manufacturing setting).
  • Familiarity with Nigerian tax laws, labor regulations, and corporate compliance.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and HR systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting abilities.
  • Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
