Static & Rotating Equipment Engineer

The Static & Rotating Equipment Engineer is responsible for providing technical engineering support for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, reliability, and optimization of static and rotating equipment within plant operations, ensuring equipment integrity, safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for static and rotating equipment in oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer facilities.
  • Perform technical assessment, troubleshooting, and reliability analysis of pumps, compressors, exchangers, pressure vessels, and related equipment.
  • Review and interpret P&IDs, Mechanical Data Sheets (MDS), equipment datasheets, specifications, and engineering drawings.
  • Develop and review equipment specifications, technical requisitions, datasheets, and vendor documentation.
  • Provide technical input into maintenance strategies, shutdowns, turnarounds, and modification projects.
  • Ensure equipment designs and maintenance activities comply with applicable API, ASME, ISO, and industry standards.
  • Liaise with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, Process, and Project teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Review vendor drawings, calculations, manuals, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 6–10 years of relevant engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer facilities.
  • Proven hands-on experience with pumps and compressors.
  • Demonstrable experience with heat exchangers and other static equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of P&IDs, MDS, equipment datasheets, and mechanical specifications.
  • Experience working in plant operations, maintenance, projects, commissioning, or turnaround environments.
