Road / Earthwork Supervisor

Oversees and directs on-site earthmoving, road construction, and civil earthwork operations to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise day-to-day earthwork and road construction activities.
• Coordinate the deployment and utilization of heavy equipment.
• Ensure construction lines, levels, grades, and slopes conform to approved drawings.
• Monitor soil moisture, compaction density, and layer thickness during earth-filling.
• Enforce HSE guidelines and maintain safe traffic management layouts.
• Maintain daily site logs and report production outputs to project managers.

Requirements

• Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Trade Test/Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on site supervision experience in road construction or infrastructure projects.
• Deep technical understanding of heavy machinery operations.
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings.
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and crew management skills.
• Excellent physical fitness for field and weather conditions.
