Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Role Overview

Richesse Oriental Enterprise (ROENT) is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive the growth of its packaged staple-food portfolio across Northern Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market share, strengthening distributor networks, and leading high-performing field sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Achieve territory sales, revenue, distribution, and market share targets.
• Grow and establish staple food categories across key markets.
• Build, manage, and develop distributor and wholesale networks.
• Drive product availability through effective secondary sales activities.
• Develop and implement territory sales plans based on market opportunities.
• Manage sales forecasts, distributor inventory, and field execution.
• Execute trade promotions, merchandising, and visibility initiatives.
• Recruit, coach, and supervise field sales representatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and consumer behavior.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience managing distributors within the FMCG industry.
• Proven experience in grain and staple food categories.
• Strong track record in secondary sales delivery across large territories.
• Experience with packaged foods, semo, wheat meal, flour, grain-based foods, or similar products.
• Established distributor, wholesaler, and customer network within North-West Nigeria.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales, revenue, and market-share targets.
• Strong knowledge of forecasting, inventory management, and sales performance tracking.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and sales reporting tools.

Salary

₦250,000 – ₦400,000 Monthly (Negotiable)
