DRILLING ENGINEER

We are seeking a Drilling Engineer to join an established oil & gas company in Nigeria. The successful candidate will support the planning, engineering, execution and monitoring of drilling operations, ensuring activities are conducted safely, efficiently and in accordance with applicable industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and design of drilling programmes and well operations.
• Assist with drilling engineering calculations, well design and operational planning.
• Monitor drilling activities and provide engineering support during well execution.
• Review drilling performance, identify operational issues and recommend solutions.
• Support preparation of drilling reports, programmes and technical documentation.
• Work closely with Drilling, Subsurface, Well Services and other technical teams.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, company procedures and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant drilling engineering experience within an oil & gas company, preferably in Nigeria.
• IWCF Level 1 certification is required.
• Good understanding of drilling operations, well design and drilling engineering principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
