Head of Solar Engineering
The Head of Solar Engineering is responsible for leading the Company's solar engineering activities, including system design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, technical support, and project execution while ensuring quality, safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the solar engineering team, including engineers, technicians, and installers.
- Assign tasks and supervise project execution to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Mentor and train junior staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure all staff follow health, safety, and Company procedures.
- Review and approve system designs and technical proposals prepared by engineers.
- Conduct site inspections and feasibility studies for major projects.
- Oversee the installation of solar PV systems to ensure they meet technical standards.
- Test and commission systems after installation to confirm performance.
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance work.
- Solve complex technical issues and provide guidance on troubleshooting.
- Prepare project plans, budgets, and schedules in line with Company objectives.
- Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, reports, and records.
- Submit regular project progress and system performance reports to the Managing Director.
- Advise Management on new technologies, market trends, and product improvements.
- Work with the Sales team to design solutions that meet client needs.
- Attend client meetings to explain technical proposals and answer technical questions.
- Ensure client training is delivered after project completion.
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors for technical support.
