Accountant

The Paper Packaging Company is hiring a full-time Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and support strategic financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including posting journal entries and maintaining general ledgers
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions
• Prepare financial statements and manage accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank accounts and support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Monitor cash flow and assist with tax computations and filings
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies
• Prepare internal reports for management and support audits
• Improve financial processes and controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights

Requirements

• Strong core accounting skills (general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end/year-end close)
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
• Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with strong attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or similar industry

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Interest in sustainability and environmental stewardship
