Legal Adviser

A human rights non-governmental organization based in Lagos and Abuja is seeking highly qualified lawyers for four Legal Adviser positions (two in the Lagos office and two in the Abuja office) in its Litigation and Legal Advice Unit.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support within the litigation unit.
• Advocate for human rights and transparency in legal matters.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• At least 7 years post-call litigation experience.
• Knowledge of anticorruption and human rights fields.
• Strong commitment to human rights, transparency, and accountability.
• Demonstrated ability to think legally, analytically, and strategically.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Capacity to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple demands efficiently.
• Ability to defend and explain complex issues and positions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Salary: Competitive but subject to experience.
