Legal and Regulatory Analyst

Carbon is hiring a Legal and Regulatory Analyst to support the legal and compliance department in Lagos.

You will conduct legal research, evaluate regulatory changes, and draft legal and compliance policies while managing the contracting process and tracking regulatory developments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise contract lifecycle management systems (contract repository, templates, tracking tools)
• Manage end-to-end contracting: drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and coordinating execution with stakeholders
• Track regulatory developments (CBN, NDIC, NITDA, NFIU, FCCPC, etc.) and advise relevant teams on implications
• Coordinate timely and accurate regulatory filings, periodic returns, audit responses, and inspections

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B) with BL certification
• 2–4 years of post-call experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory roles within a financial institution, fintech, or legal practice
• Experience working with regulators or managing regulatory engagements (strongly preferred)
