About the role

Software QA Engineer

Rednoxx Limited is seeking a Software QA Engineer to ensure their EMR/EHR software platform is functional, reliable, secure, and production-ready.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans, test scenarios, test cases, regression checklists, and UAT support documents
  • Review product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test coverage needs
  • Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing across EMR/EHR modules (registration, consultation, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, inventory, reporting)
  • Validate user roles, permissions, workflows, forms, reports, dashboards, and system notifications
  • Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools; test REST APIs, authentication, validation, and error handling
  • Identify, document, classify, and track software defects with clear reports including steps to reproduce and evidence
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) with product owners, implementation teams, and hospital users
  • Prepare UAT scripts and acceptance checklists; capture UAT issues and user feedback
  • Support release readiness reviews and go-live validation
  • Maintain test evidence including screenshots, test results, logs, and sign-off records

Requirements

  • Minimum HND or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Health Informatics, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' practical software testing or QA experience
  • Proven experience preparing test cases, defect reports, regression checklists, and test summaries
  • Experience testing web applications, enterprise software, or workflow-based systems
  • Working knowledge of defect tracking tools, project management tools, and test documentation templates
  • Experience using Postman or similar tools for API testing
  • Strong ability to write clear, reproducible, and evidence-based defect reports
  • Ability to test end-to-end workflows across multiple modules
  • Basic knowledge of automation testing tools and when automation is useful

Preferred Skills

  • Experience testing healthcare software, EMR, EHR, hospital information systems, or enterprise platforms
  • Knowledge of hospital workflows (patient registration, consultation, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, billing, reporting)
  • Exposure to test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Katalon)
  • Understanding of data privacy, access control, audit trails, and security-sensitive applications
  • Experience supporting UAT, go-live readiness, and post-release validation
