About the role
Senior Finance Officer
Responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, including budgeting, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting. This role involves managing day-to-day financial activities and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor day-to-day financial operations such as payroll, invoicing, and transactions.
- Prepare annual and monthly budgets and monitor adherence through performance reviews.
- Prepare cash flow projections and manage liquidity.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with corporate reporting requirements.
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations and daily transaction postings.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and report variances to management.
- Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Coordinate statutory audits and ensure timely filing of financial statements.
- Process and review payroll schedules and prepare variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with finance policies and procedures.
- Support fundraising and manage shareholder and debt provider reporting.
- Contribute to building strong financial controls and support digital transformation projects.
- Prepare quarterly reports for the Board and board committees.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and policies.
