Sales and Trade Development Representative – Lagos Island

MTN Nigeria is seeking a Sales and Trade Development Representative to drive sales growth, manage channel relationships, and ensure product availability across the Lagos Island territory.

Responsibilities

• Contact sub-dealers and dealer branches; verify stock receipt and movement
• Provide informal training on MTN products, services, and promotions at all visited outlets
• Manage events, promotions, and post-promo evaluation
• Submit weekly/monthly sales activity and market intelligence reports
• Monitor network quality and sales-impacting indices in assigned territory
• Conduct 8–10 outlet visits per day as required
• Identify, classify, and support all distribution channel players; maintain weekly/monthly database updates
• Maintain >95% MTN product availability and submit weekly availability reports
• Direct channel participants to identified growth areas
• Establish and maintain consistent channel standards and branding
• Increase brand awareness through signage, POS distribution (target 65% visibility)
• Support merchandising at all identified outlets
• Build and nurture relationships between authorized distributors, sub-dealers, and retailers
• Resolve issues related to activations, products, and promotions
• Gather and report market feedback to management

Requirements

• First degree (preferably in social sciences)
• Fluent in English
• 1–3 years' experience in a related field
• Experience working in a medium-sized organization
• Sales and marketing background in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
