Mobile Developer (React Native + Expo)

Sage Grey Technologies Limited is seeking a skilled Mobile Developer to build high-quality, scalable mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native and Expo. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver reliable, performant mobile experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and Expo
• Build reusable, scalable, and efficient mobile components
• Convert UI/UX designs into responsive and pixel-perfect mobile interfaces
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
• Implement authentication flows, push notifications, deep linking, and app navigation
• Manage application state using modern state management solutions
• Optimize mobile applications for performance, speed, and reliability
• Debug and resolve application issues across Android and iOS devices
• Handle mobile app builds and deployments using Expo Application Services (EAS)
• Publish and manage applications on Google Play Store and Apple App Store
• Collaborate with backend developers to define and integrate APIs
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and follow mobile development best practices

Requirements

• Strong experience building mobile applications with React Native
• Hands-on experience with Expo framework and Expo Application Services (EAS)
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with React Hooks and functional components
• Understanding of mobile application architecture and lifecycle
• Experience with navigation libraries such as React Navigation
• Experience with state management tools (Redux, Zustand, Context API, or similar)
• Ability to integrate REST APIs and third-party SDKs
• Experience handling local storage solutions such as AsyncStorage, SQLite, or SecureStore
• Understanding of mobile authentication and security best practices
• Experience debugging applications using React Native development tools
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Good understanding of responsive design across different screen sizes
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to take ownership of mobile features
• Attention to detail and user experience
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Passion for building high-quality mobile products

Nice to Have

• Experience working with native modules
• Knowledge of Swift or Kotlin
• Experience with Firebase services (Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics)
• Experience implementing maps, geolocation, payments, camera, and media features
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications
• Understanding of App Store and Play Store review processes
• Experience with performance monitoring tools such as Sentry
