Laundry Attendant

Job Overview

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the efficient processing, cleaning, pressing, folding, sorting, and distribution of hotel linen, guest garments, staff uniforms, towels, table linen, curtains, and other fabric items in accordance with the hotel’s luxury hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

• Sort, classify, and process soiled linen, towels, uniforms, guest garments, and other laundry items according to fabric type, colour, and washing requirements.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, extractors, ironing equipment, steam presses, folding machines, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Wash, rinse, dry, iron, press, fold, and package laundry items according to hotel standards.
• Process guest laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing requests accurately and confidentially.
• Sort and organize hotel linen, towels, bed sheets, pillowcases, duvets, blankets, tablecloths, napkins, and staff uniforms.
• Inspect all laundry items after processing to ensure they are clean, stain-free, well-pressed, and meet hotel quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the laundry facility at all times.
• Report accidents, unsafe conditions, and equipment hazards immediately.
• Work closely with various departments to meet linen requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of guest laundry transactions and daily laundry production.
