About the role
Civic Education Teacher
The successful candidate will help students develop responsible citizenship, civic awareness, good values, and an understanding of their rights and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective Civic Education lessons.
- Promote responsible citizenship and positive values.
- Develop students' understanding of civic responsibilities.
- Prepare students for relevant examinations.
- Assess students' learning and progress.
- Support character-development initiatives within the school.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed., B.Sc / B.A with PGDE) or NCE in the relevant field.
- TRCN registration or evidence of registration will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Sound knowledge of modern teaching methods and digital learning tools.
- A strong passion for child development and academic excellence.
- Good moral character and integrity.
- A strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
- Commitment to the academic, personal, social, and character development of students.
- Relevant teaching experience will be an added advantage.
