Credit Underwriter Executive

The Credit Underwriter Executive is responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of customers to mitigate the company's credit risk. They work closely with various teams to ensure that credit applications meet the company's standards and are approved based on sound financial evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze the creditworthiness of potential customers based on risk criteria.
• Evaluate quantitative details in applications to make objective decisions.
• Review applications for credit facilities and point out deviations from the company's credit policy.
• Ensure credits requiring amendments are communicated to business areas.
• Conduct credit bureau searches and verify documentation.
• Prepare Transaction Consummation Reports and review transactions for final approval.
• Perform departmental functions such as loan covenant monitoring, risk rating, and audit preparation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2 - 4 years' experience in Credit underwriting.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.
• Banking, fintech, or financial services experience is preferred.
