Developer Advocate - Service Management EMEA

As a Developer Advocate for Service Management in EMEA, you will act as a subject matter expert for service management practices and help build Datadog's reputation as a leader in DevOps, Monitoring, Observability, and Security. You will create content, partner with product engineering teams, and interface with open source communities to shape the future of cloud observability and incident response.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert for service management (incident response, on-call, IDP, Work Management, Workflow Automation, Agent Builder, and operational automation)
• Create content such as demos, blogs, webinars, documentation, and more to build Datadog's reputation
• Partner with product engineering teams to build compelling demos and coach internal teams on communication and presentation
• Interface with open source communities and develop new integrations for Datadog
• Contribute to the product through feedback, documentation, or code

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Software Developer with hands-on experience in on-call/incident response and running production systems
• Strong understanding of core service-management practices using tools like Datadog, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, Jira Cloud Platform, Cortex, or similar
• Passion for helping teams fix organizational challenges and share knowledge broadly
• 2+ years of experience in storytelling and creating content (written, speaking, workshops, videos, etc.)
• Publicly available writing samples, blog posts, demos, or recordings of presentations on technical topics
• Comfortable with at least one scripting or programming language (Node.js, Python, Go, bash) and APIs, IaaS, and containers
• Enjoy self-driven exploration of new technologies and languages
