Facility Manager

Job Summary

The Facility Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing the operation, maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement of all hotel buildings, infrastructure, utilities, equipment, and physical assets to ensure a safe, functional, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing environment consistent with the standards of a superior luxury hotel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the maintenance and operation of all hotel buildings, infrastructure, and facilities.
• Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, restaurants, bars, conference rooms, spa, gym, swimming pool, offices, and staff facilities remain in excellent operating condition.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and facility improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programmes.
• Oversee maintenance of electrical systems, generators, transformers, switchgear, lighting, power distribution systems, plumbing systems, water supply networks, sewage systems, drainage, sanitary installations, HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, water treatment systems, pressure systems, elevators, escalators, and automatic doors.
• Supervise engineering and maintenance personnel, allocate daily maintenance assignments, and monitor work completion.
• Maintain an accurate register of all hotel facilities, plant, machinery, and engineering assets.
• Monitor electricity, diesel, gas, water, internet, and other utility consumption.
• Prepare annual facilities and maintenance budgets, monitor maintenance expenditures, and control maintenance costs.
• Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, fire safety standards, occupational health and safety requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure prompt resolution of maintenance requests in guest rooms and public areas.
