General Manager

Oversee the overall operations and administration of Throne 99.5 FM, managing all departments and ensuring high-quality programming and compliance with broadcasting regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall operations and administration of the radio station.
• Manage and coordinate all departments including programming, news, engineering, marketing, sales, and finance.
• Develop and implement strategies for audience growth, revenue generation, and station development.
• Supervise staff, monitor performance, and ensure professional workplace standards.
• Ensure high-quality programming and content that meets audience needs and broadcasting regulations.
• Manage relationships with advertisers, clients, partners, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor station finances, budgets, expenses, and commercial performance.
• Oversee the station's technical operations and continuity of broadcast.
• Lead marketing, branding, promotions and digital media growth.
• Prepare and present operational and performance reports to management/ownership.
• Resolve operational challenges and provide leadership during crises.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian broadcasting laws, NBC regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 - 10 years' experience in broadcasting, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of radio operations, programming, marketing, and revenue generation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Sound financial and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make strategic decisions.
• University degree in Mass Communication, Business Administration or related field.
• Good understanding of broadcasting regulations and industry trends.
