School Maintenance Officer

Elevation Professionals is seeking a dedicated School Maintenance Officer to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of school facilities. The ideal candidate will have a technical background and experience in maintenance and repair work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect classrooms, offices, laboratories, toilets, halls, and other facilities.
• Identify and arrange repairs for damaged doors, windows, ceilings, walls, floors, etc.
• Monitor electrical installations, lighting, switches, sockets, water supply, taps, toilets, and drainage.
• Handle minor repairs and coordinate qualified technicians for major work.
• Develop and follow a maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns.
• Inspect equipment and facilities.
• Monitor the condition of desks, chairs, cupboards, air conditioners, generators, fans, and other school equipment.
• Arrange repairs or replacements where necessary.
• Supervise plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and other maintenance contractors.
• Ensure work is completed properly and according to agreed standards.
• Keep records of repairs, maintenance activities, equipment, spare parts, and costs.
• Report maintenance needs and expenditure to management.

Requirements

• B.Eng/B.Tech or Diploma in Technical Disciplines.
• Preferably lives in the stated location or nearby
