A qualified Internal Auditor is needed to ensure accurate financial reporting, conduct internal audits, and maintain compliance with regulations. The role involves reconciling financial records, analyzing operational data, and preparing audit reports.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, sales revenue and operational expenses.
• Conducting internal audits of cash handling, inventory management, procurement, and compliance with state and federal tax regulations.
• Performing daily and monthly bank, sales (POS systems), and ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Maintaining organized and accurate financial records and audit working papers and documents.
• Ensuring routine financial reports such as trial balances, revenue summaries, and expense breakdowns are generated.
• Ensuring compliance with SOPs across the business unit in locations.
• Ensuring daily and weekly sales and purchase records are accurately extracted, validated, and uploaded to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for financial reconciliation.
• Involving in the monthly physical counts of raw materials and finished goods, cross-referencing this against system stock levels, and reporting discrepancies.
• Implementing checks and procedures to ensure integrity, completeness, and confidentiality of all transactional and operational data.
• Submitting monthly detailed internal audit reports with findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• HND / BSc Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Msc / MBA / ICAN is an added advantage.
• 4-7 years experience in internal audit, internal control or external audit in hospitality sector.
