Accounting Officer

Marvel Advisory is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Officer to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support effective financial management. The role requires at least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience in the construction or warehouse industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
• Handle daily accounting transactions (income, expenses, invoices, receipts, payments)
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, statements, and reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Monitor expenses, purchases, and other financial transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly
• Maintain records of inventory, stock movements, and related transactions
• Work with procurement, operations, warehouse, and management teams on financial reporting
• Monitor project-related expenses, particularly for construction activities
• Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial planning
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records
• Support tax, audit, and statutory compliance requirements
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years' professional accounting experience in the construction or warehouse industry (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information
• ICAN qualification or relevant certification is a strong advantage
• Must be available to resume immediately

Salary

• ₦350,000 monthly
