Internal Auditor – Sundry Markets Limited

We are recruiting Internal Auditors to conduct financial and operational audits, test internal controls, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in safeguarding company assets by identifying risks and recommending practical improvements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous risk assessments and develop work plans to mitigate identified risks
• Review internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness; monitor compliance across all departments
• Monitor inventory flow, assist with stock counts, and verify inventory valuation
• Coordinate loss prevention strategies and advise management on best practices to minimize shrinkage
• Draft and present detailed audit reports with findings, analysis, and actionable recommendations
• Verify goods in high-risk areas and work with management on effective solutions
• Collaborate with accounting during the external audit process and vouch vendor invoices
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum B.Sc./HND in Accountancy or related field
• Minimum 4 years' experience in internal auditing or similar role
• NYSC Discharged, Exemption, or Exclusion letter (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to draft clear, concise, and actionable audit reports
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments
• High level of integrity and confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

• ICAN Certification
• Experience with inventory monitoring and stock count processes
