Cashier

Responsible for handling guest payments accurately and courteously while maintaining complete records of hotel cash and electronic transactions. This role involves operating the hotel's POS or billing system, balancing cash and electronic collections, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Receive cash, card and transfer payments and issue accurate receipts.
• Confirm approved prices, charges and payment status before closing transactions.
• Operate the hotel's POS or billing system and maintain an accurate cash float.
• Balance cash and electronic collections against sales reports at the end of each shift.
• Report discrepancies promptly and hand over takings according to hotel procedures.
• Respond politely to billing enquiries and safeguard cash, transaction records and guest information.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an SSCE; OND in Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline is an advantage.
• At least 1 year of cashiering experience, preferably in a hotel, restaurant or retail environment.
• Good numeracy, basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
• Honesty, attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
