Generator Site Operator

Mikano International is seeking a skilled Generator Site Operator to ensure the efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of generator systems while maintaining uninterrupted power supply and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor diesel or gas generators to ensure continuous power supply
• Start, stop, and regulate generator systems based on operational requirements
• Conduct routine inspections of generators, fuel levels, oil levels, and cooling systems
• Perform basic maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and equipment cleaning
• Identify and troubleshoot generator faults or performance issues
• Maintain accurate records of operations, fuel usage, and maintenance activities
• Manage safe fuel storage and refueling processes
• Respond promptly to power outages and restore supply efficiently
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and environmental regulations
• Monitor load capacity and prevent generator overloading
• Liaise with engineers and maintenance teams for major repairs

Requirements

• OND, HND, B.Sc., Trade Test, or Vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in generator operations and maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of generator systems, safety procedures, and operational standards

Salary ₦200,000 – ₦300,000 Monthly
