Accountant

Sagad Farms Limited is seeking an experienced Accountant to take ownership of financial processes with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for accuracy and accountability. This role is ideal for a proactive, organized professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and produce reliable financial information to support sound business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and balance sheet accounts regularly
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow reports
• Process payroll and statutory remittances where applicable
• Prepare budgets and monitor actual performance against budget
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation
• Develop and maintain strong internal financial controls
• Identify financial risks and recommend practical solutions
• Collaborate with department heads to improve financial planning and cost efficiency
• Prepare management reports that provide meaningful business insights

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ACA, ACCA, or ICAN qualification (required)
• Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, agriculture, FMCG, or a related industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to manage confidential information with integrity
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
