The ETP Operator at Springfield Agro Limited is a full-time, on-site role based in Sagamu. The role involves monitoring, operating, and controlling the Effluent Treatment Plant to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and operating the Effluent Treatment Plant
• Checking plant parameters, managing chemical dosing, and operating pumps and filters
• Recording operational data and reporting deviations or equipment issues
• Coordinating with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective actions
• Performing routine inspections and basic troubleshooting
• Ensuring proper handling and storage of treatment chemicals
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant efficiency

Requirements

• Strong understanding of effluent treatment processes, water chemistry basics, and environmental compliance standards
• Ability to operate and monitor ETP equipment safely and efficiently
• Competence in recording operational data and preparing basic reports
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and health and safety protocols
• Ability to work in shifts and perform manual tasks in an industrial environment
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Minimum of a technical or vocational qualification in environmental science, chemical engineering, industrial chemistry, or related field
