About the role

Sales Trainer – Mobile Installment (BNPL)

Design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs for Sales Agents and Field Supervisors selling Flexi's Mobile Installment product across retail locations nationwide. This role ensures all sales personnel have the skills, product knowledge, and customer service competence needed to achieve aggressive acquisition and revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct onboarding and refresher training for Sales Agents, Sales Managers, and Regional Managers
  • Identify skill gaps and develop targeted training interventions to improve sales performance
  • Design and develop training materials: manuals, presentations, SOPs, sales scripts, and certification tests
  • Facilitate classroom, virtual, and field-based training sessions
  • Coach and mentor sales teams on product knowledge, customer engagement, and closing skills
  • Train employees on company policies, compliance requirements, and operational procedures
  • Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, field observations, and performance tracking
  • Analyze sales performance data and recommend improvement plans for underperforming teams
  • Support new product launches with product training and materials
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions for supervisors and regional trainers
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Management teams to align training with business objectives
  • Prepare training reports, attendance records, and post-training performance evaluations
  • Ensure consistent training standards across all regions and sales channels

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Education, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in sales training, field sales coaching, or commercial capability development (preferably in MFB, fintech, telecoms, or consumer lending)
  • Proven track record training high-volume retail sales teams or promoter networks
  • Strong knowledge of consumer credit, BNPL models, or mobile device financing
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to engage large groups
  • Strong field coaching ability—comfortable spending significant time at retail outlets
  • Proximity to Ikeja, Lagos

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of micro-lending processes, credit risk basics, and KYC/AML requirements
  • Familiarity with smartphone retail operations (3C Hub, Slot, Tecno, Infinix, etc.)
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, LMS platforms, and digital training tools
  • Strong problem-solving, adaptability, and interpersonal communication skills
