Deputy General Manager (DGM), Corporate Sales
GIG Logistics, Nigeria's leading logistics company, is seeking a dynamic Deputy General Manager to lead the Corporate Sales function and drive sustainable revenue growth across key market segments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute corporate sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion
- Lead, coach, and manage the Corporate Sales team to achieve sales targets
- Identify, acquire, and retain high-value corporate clients across key industries
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers
- Drive business development initiatives and identify new market opportunities
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline health, and conversion rates
- Collaborate with Operations, Customer Experience, Finance, and Marketing teams
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and commercial agreements
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
- Prepare sales forecasts and strategic recommendations for Executive Management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and governance standards
- Champion a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability and innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Management, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years progressive experience in Corporate Sales, Business Development, or Key Account Management
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Demonstrated success in delivering significant revenue growth and managing large corporate accounts
- Strong knowledge of B2B sales, strategic account management, and contract negotiation
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and financial acumen
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Postgraduate qualification or professional certification (MBA, CIM, ISM, NIMN) is an added advantage
Preferred Experience
Candidates with prior experience in logistics, transportation, courier services, supply chain, e-commerce, FMCG, financial services, telecommunications, or other B2B service-driven organizations will be highly preferred.
