About the role

Role Overview

Permanent Capital Ventures is seeking an experienced Corporate Commercial / Litigation Lawyer to provide legal support across corporate transactions, commercial advisory, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and governance matters.
  • Handle incorporations, restructuring, M&A, joint ventures, and corporate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
  • Conduct legal due diligence and prepare legal opinions and advisory documents.
  • Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and other disputes.
  • Prepare pleadings, briefs, witness statements, and court processes.
  • Manage cases and develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide commercially focused legal advice.
  • Support business development and client engagement initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers where required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial law and/or litigation.
  • Member of the Nigerian Bar Association with a valid practicing license.
  • Proven experience in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
  • Strong legal drafting, advocacy, negotiation, research, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, client management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness, professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

Salary ₦450,000 – ₦600,000/month
