Accountant - Hotel

Vodstra Limited is seeking a skilled Accountant to manage daily financial operations for a hotel, ensuring compliance with international hospitality accounting standards and Nigerian tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and P&L reports
• Monitor hotel expenditures, analyze variances, and work with Food & Beverage and Operations teams to manage inventory and reduce waste
• Oversee the daily night audit process, ensuring all room, banquet, and ancillary revenues are accurately reconciled and recorded
• Manage timely filing and remittance of all statutory deductions (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT) in compliance with FIRS and LIRS regulations
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit management, and daily cash flow forecasting
• Maintain and strengthen internal control policies to safeguard hotel assets and prevent fraud

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualification (mandatory)
• Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience in the hospitality industry (mandatory)
• Proficiency in hospitality ERP systems, QuickBooks, and advanced MS Excel
• Exceptional analytical skills, high emotional intelligence, and ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
