Cost Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cost Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports
• Maintain accurate records of company finances
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations
• Assist in budgeting and financial planning
• Provide insights based on financial data

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• M.Sc, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Accountant
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other ERP systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
• High attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations and controls
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights
• Understanding of budgeting, costing, cash flow and financial planning
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards, taxation and regulatory requirements
• Integrity, confidentiality and sound professional judgment
• Ownership, accountability and ability to work with minimal or no supervision
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Good knowledge of monetary market
