Winding Supervisor - Rotating Machines Workshop

Felton Energy Services Ltd is developing an in-house rotating-machines rewind capability for industrial motors, generators and alternators, including HV machines up to 11 kV. The Winding Supervisor will be the practical specialist responsible for managing winding and rewinding activities and ensuring consistently high standards of workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all stator and rotor winding and rewinding activities.
  • Plan and execute winding activities in line with technical specifications and production schedules.
  • Oversee coil manufacture, insertion, insulation, lacing, bracing, connections and finishing.
  • Supervise LV and HV winding work, including machines up to 11 kV.
  • Ensure winding quality and compliance with approved winding data and standards.
  • Work with Electrical Lead and Mechanical Lead on specifications, verification and technical requirements.
  • Inspect winding work throughout the process and ensure quality control.
  • Coordinate electrical testing and ensure defects are corrected.
  • Maintain accurate winding records, measurements and test results.
  • Supervise, train and develop Nigerian winding technicians.
  • Ensure HSE compliance and support final inspection, testing and commissioning.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar winding/rewind supervisory or senior winder role.
  • Extensive experience rewinding industrial motors, generators and alternators.
  • Strong experience with large rotating machines and major rewind projects.
  • Proven HV winding experience; machines up to 11 kV highly desirable.
  • Experience with coil manufacture, forming, insertion, insulation, lacing, bracing, connections and finishing.
  • Ability to read and interpret winding diagrams, winding data and technical drawings.
  • Experience with electrical testing associated with winding and rewinding.
  • Experience supervising and training winding teams.
  • Ability to work to strict quality, dimensional and production requirements.
