Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Focal Person
The Today for Tomorrow Initiative (TFT) is seeking a dedicated Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Focal Person to mainstream PSEA, safeguarding, and survivor-centered frameworks across all project operational activities and community interventions. This role involves conducting capacity building, establishing reporting pathways, managing case referrals, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards.
Responsibilities
- Mainstream PSEA, safeguarding, and survivor-centered frameworks across all project activities and community interventions.
- Conduct mandatory PSEA orientations and continuous training for project staff, partner staff, health workers, and Community Referral Champions (CRCs).
- Establish, promote, and maintain safe, accessible, confidential, and culturally appropriate complaint and feedback mechanisms (CFMs) for community beneficiaries and survivors.
- Facilitate immediate, confidential, and survivor-centered referral protocols for handling SGBV or safeguarding allegations.
- Monitor field activities to ensure informed consent, privacy, and data confidentiality are upheld.
- Conduct continuous safeguarding risk assessments and implement protective measures.
- Serve as the primary liaison for safeguarding compliance, maintain secure documentation, and submit monthly oversight reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Rights, International Development, Gender Studies, Public Health, or Law.
- Minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in safeguarding, PSEA, protection, or survivor-centered SGBV programming in conflict or post-conflict settings.
- In-depth technical knowledge of international safeguarding standards, do-no-harm principles, informed consent protocols, and survivor-centered approaches.
- Proven experience in establishing and managing community-based CFMs and confidential case referral pathways.
- Experience in facilitating safeguarding training and Code of Conduct orientations.
- Exceptional empathy, active listening, discretion, and strict commitment to confidentiality.
- Fluency in English and relevant local languages spoken across the target LGAs in Adamawa State.
