About the role

Vice President Marketing

247Bet is seeking an experienced VP of Marketing to lead the entire marketing function ahead of our August 2026 launch. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Lagos, reporting directly to the CEO.

You will own brand strategy, growth marketing, content, community, and partnerships—defining how 247Bet becomes a household name in Nigerian sports and betting. You'll build and lead a multi-disciplinary marketing team, set the marketing strategy across the full funnel, manage the marketing budget, and drive go-to-market initiatives for launch and new features.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the full marketing function including brand, growth, performance, content, community, and partnerships
  • Define brand strategy, positioning, and narrative; build 247Bet into a leading name in Nigerian betting
  • Set and own marketing strategy across the full funnel, from awareness to retention
  • Build, lead, and scale the marketing team across growth, community, content, and brand functions
  • Own the marketing budget and manage the relationship between spend, growth, and unit economics
  • Lead go-to-market for launch and for new features, markets, and products
  • Drive major brand campaigns, sponsorships, ambassador deals, and partnerships
  • Partner with product, finance, and the CEO on strategy, positioning, and growth targets
  • Establish marketing analytics and reporting that connect activity to business outcomes
  • Champion responsible gaming and ensure marketing meets advertising and regulatory standards

Requirements

  • 10+ years in marketing, including senior leadership (VP, Marketing Director, or CMO-track)
  • Track record of building and scaling a consumer brand, ideally in a high-growth environment
  • Strong command of both brand and performance/growth marketing
  • Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary marketing teams
  • Deep understanding of the Nigerian consumer, sports, and betting market
  • Strategic, commercially minded, and comfortable operating at executive and board level
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and storytelling skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience in sports betting, gaming, fintech, or another fast-moving consumer category
  • Experience taking a consumer product to market and scaling it
  • Network across Nigerian sports, media, creator, and partnership ecosystems
  • Exposure to community-led or social-first growth models
