Assistant Professor / Senior Lecturer

The Assistant Professor/Senior Lecturer at the American University of Nigeria School of Information Technology and Computing is responsible for teaching, research, and community service. The role involves developing and delivering course content, advising students, participating in academic meetings, and contributing to university-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching and supporting student learning inside and outside the classroom
• Attending class and ensuring student attendance and completion of assignments
• Providing academic advising throughout the semester
• Participating in department and school meetings
• Attending academic functions as required
• Engaging in research activities
• Contributing to community service and development activities

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity from a reputable university
• Minimum of 6 years of university teaching, research, postdoctoral, or relevant industry experience post-PhD
• Demonstrated contribution to curriculum development and academic service
• Evidence of supervising undergraduate, master's, and PhD students
• Proficiency in ICT tools and e-resources for teaching and research
• Verifiable evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals
