Quality Specialist

Essence Crop Science Nigeria Limited is recruiting a Quality Specialist to join its Quality Assurance team in an agrochemical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will conduct laboratory analyses, ensure product quality compliance, monitor production standards, and maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Perform quality control testing and analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished agrochemical products
• Review laboratory results and provide timely reports to management
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COA) and maintain accurate laboratory records
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), ISO standards, safety procedures, and company quality policies
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment, particularly HPLC systems
• Maintain inventory of laboratory reagents, chemicals, and consumables
• Conduct chemical and physical analyses in accordance with approved testing methods and regulatory requirements
• Participate in internal audits, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory inspections
• Investigate non-conforming products and support root cause analysis and corrective actions

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
• 3–5 years' experience in Quality Control within agrochemical, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or related industries
• Proven hands-on experience operating and interpreting results from HPLC equipment (compulsory)
• Strong knowledge of analytical testing methods and quality control procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory documentation systems
• Good understanding of ISO quality management systems and laboratory best practices
• Ability to analyze laboratory data and prepare technical reports
• High level of integrity and commitment to quality standards
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Willing and ready to relocate to the Lekki Free Zone axis, Lagos
