About the role
Role Overview
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting management decision-making throughout the complete financial cycle using the REAN structure.
Responsibilities
- Capture & Record Financial Activity: Collect, verify, and record all incoming financial transactions; process accounts payable and receivable; maintain fixed asset register; gather and classify supporting documentation.
- Analyze, Reconcile & Interact: Investigate discrepancies, prepare monthly management accounts, respond to internal queries, and liaise with external parties.
- Close, Report & Comply: Prepare financial statements, support statutory audits, ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax laws, and submit regulatory reports.
- Forecast, Improve & Advise: Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitor financial performance, identify process improvements, and support cost analysis and investment appraisals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (ICAN preferred)
- 3–4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax basics
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
