About the role

A chemical manufacturing company is seeking a commercially driven Sales Officer based in Lagos to grow revenue by identifying and developing new business opportunities across multiple sectors while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across multiple sectors
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender documents
  • Participate in client meetings and commercial discussions
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (Procurement, Production, Operations, Finance, Logistics, HSE) to ensure accurate costing, timely delivery, and consistent customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably within chemical manufacturing or oil and gas services
  • Proven ability to identify, pursue, and convert business opportunities
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills
  • Commercial awareness with working knowledge of contracts and pricing
  • Experience collaborating across departments in a structured business environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred), Chemistry, Business Administration, Marketing or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with oil and gas industry standards, products, or supply chain is an advantage

Salary ₦300,000 – ₦350,000 monthly (gross), commensurate with experience
