Junior Account Officer

A Junior Account Officer is responsible for managing referral partner relationships, processing commissions and incentives, handling accounts receivable and invoicing, maintaining referral databases, reconciling financial transactions, and supporting marketing initiatives. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update records of referral doctors, clinics, and HMOs.
• Calculate, verify, and process payments (commissions or referral fees) to referring practitioners and institutions.
• Manage invoices for referred patients, ensure accurate billing, and follow up on outstanding partner payments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM databases of all referral sources.
• Reconcile referral account transactions with the general ledger and prepare reports on referral trends and revenue.
• Act as the primary contact for inquiries from referral partners.
• Collaborate with the marketing department to track the success of promotional events.

Requirements

• BSc/HND in Accounting with 1-2 years experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software like SAP, Sage 50, QuickBooks, or hospital information systems (HIS).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous approach to data recording.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
