Accountant

Role Overview

The Accountant at Kachelan Pharma-Research Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Abeokuta. This role involves managing daily financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial transactions, including posting entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate ledgers.
• Prepare financial statements, monitor budgets, handle accounts payable and receivable, and support payroll and tax compliance.
• Generate regular financial reports for management, assist with audits, and ensure adherence to internal controls and relevant financial regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support operational and strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and cash flow management.
• Understanding of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes relevant to Nigerian businesses.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
• Ability to work on-site in Abeokuta, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) are an advantage.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or agribusiness sectors is beneficial.
