Accountant

Blueprint Shelter is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts
• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow reports
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts promptly and accurately
• Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
• Maintain proper financial documentation and filing systems
• Prepare payroll data and support salary processing where required
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Nigerian tax regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
