Trader – Commodities & Financial Markets

Terralix Nigeria Limited is seeking a Trader to execute day-to-day trading activities in commodities and financial markets. This role focuses on portfolio optimization, market analysis, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily market research across various trading platforms
• Perform technical analysis on commodities being traded
• Prepare weekly and daily trading plans
• Monitor markets continuously to identify trends and trend changes
• Record and monitor portfolio positions to maintain positive portfolio performance
• Prepare daily trading and reconciliation reports
• Manage hedges for physical commodities produced by the organization
• Develop financial models and valuations for physical and financial business sides
• Ensure adherence to all risk management processes
• Maintain full compliance with regulations, standards, and market derivative requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of trading experience in financial markets or commodities
• Working knowledge of charting tools (Metastock, TradingView, etc.)
• Strong understanding of price patterns and technical analysis
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Proficiency in trading software and tools
• Excellent decision-making abilities
• Solid understanding of financial markets and instruments
• Ability to work under pressure with quick thinking
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English

Salary

NGN 250,000 – 400,000 per month
